THE PRESIDENT'S RIGHT 

Truth these days have become a "no-go area" in our local parlance as people preferred to be pampered and flattered to being confronted with the bitter truth. As it sounds, truth is always bitter as everyone is always running away from it, even if you enquire from some people why they are not ready to tell the truth, they will tell you that even the recipients are not ready to hear it because in some instance, they considered the truth as an exposé. Truth in fact is not always good to the hearing, truth sometimes makes one emotional, truth always hit the tipping point and that is why many of us carry a lot of burden inside of us and such repression as Psychologists would puts it will surely have negative impact on anyone who is not ready to hear the truth.

The onus of the first paragraph is based on the recent fallout from the purported word precisely "shithole" used by the President of the United States of America, President Donald J. Trump to describe some countries of whom her citizens are always striving to get to the United States at every instance. For real, the word is big and demeaning but let us face the fact, are those countries especially Africa, a paradise? Hell NO! Are we better in terms of being a proper human beings in those countries, NO! The facts are there, if you want to dispute these claims, go online and find out and you will discover that our countries are actually a shithole. 

What is shithole? 

According to the Google dictionary, shithole ˈʃɪthəʊl/ a noun, vulgar slang which means an extremely dirty, shabby, or otherwise unpleasant place. Now let us go back to what this write up about. If those countries being referred to as shithole are not, why has their citizens leaving in droves even passing through desert and Mediterranean sea to get to the Europe and the United States? If those countries are paradise, why is the living standards so low to the extent that many of those who could not leave are now scavengers in their own country? Why has the citizens of those countries experiencing "super poverty"? I can continue without pause, but let me leave it there.

Why the brouhaha?

The @Democrat party in the United States and their so-called liberal co-travellers as usual of their behavior are the first criers about the "shithole" palava, but the truth is that they are are only crying more than the bereaved, because how on earth will you turn some of the countries in question into perpetual begger whereas you can actually speak to those who are in charge of the country to actually work for their people and make life better, easier and meaningful to their citizens instead they prefer to have us risking our lives to come to their country so we can be used for demeaning jobs.

The so-called defenders are the ones taking advantage of our resources in our homeland to better their own lives but prefer us not to have the skills to process those resources so we can be subservient to them infinitum.

Another reason for their crocodile tears is that if we get our act right and stop emigrating into their country, they will have less people to do their dirty jobs. Many of these criers have interest in those shithole countries and the moment those countries are having the know-how of what they do there, their empire will be on the brink and that is why they prefer the current dictators to continue hold sway so as to protect their food. 

I think these so-called liberals should not cry for us anymore but to actually tell us the truth and also force our rulers to change course to better our lives as there is no reason in leaving our country for other countries since we have enough resources to make ourselves and our countries great.

Playing to the gallery

It is now a race where baton is being exchanged from one runner to another, this is in the recent actions of some countries trying to play good by asking whether their country is also a shithole or not. In their heart of hearts, they know that their country is a shithole and thanks to their rulership because the fact are there for all to see.

For education, it's hard to get a quality education in those countries or else your pocket is deep, better still you have to travel out to get it. In health sector, infant and maternal mortality is alarming in these countries to say the least. For example, recently, Nigeria president, President Muhammadu Buhari spent almost 150 days in London to receive medical treatment, many doctors have fled some countries as a result of brain drain.

In the aspect of security, many of these countries are failed state in that anything can happen any time as security of lives and property are not guaranteed. For example, few hours into the 2018, about 18 people were cruelly killed as they are coming from the cross over service, in the same vein, about 80 Nigerian citizens were massacred by Fulani herdsmen in Benue state and many more unrecorded deaths, not forgetting Nigerian Police extra judicial killing and many more.

The list of shitholeness of these countries are endless let me just stop here.

My take away

I think it is time for the concerned countries to start doing the right thing with their citizens, give them life, give them hope. 

There is no way to run away from the truth, it is better to accept it and make corrections where necessary, let our rulers think less of themselves and their sycophants, let them see this as a challenge and use it to make positive changes. 

Enough of being reactionary instead let us be more proactive because the President of Unite states was right in his assertion.

I might not agree with him but in fairness to him he was saying the obvious truth about our countries and what we are experiencing as a citizen on a daily basis. Sincerely speaking, for example, in Nigeria, we are living in hellhole, everybody knows its just that we are so resistant to the truth.
